The need is great with nearly 10,000 children in Foster Care in Arizona. We understand not everyone is able to foster or adopt, but we can all play a part in helping children and families in need. That’s why we’re personally inviting you to Run a 5K to Help 10K foster kids. Join us for an amazing day of fun, fitness, and community.
Foster Care 5K+Family Day
Sunday, November 24, 2024 at Kiwanis Park in Tempe
You can race, run, walk, or participate virtually. Invite friends to join you on a team or fly solo. We welcome participants of all ages and abilities. Every dollar raised serves children, young people, and families whose lives have been impacted by foster care in Arizona. Together we can make a difference in the lives of children in need.
The Arizona KIDS Consortium is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization comprised of over 20+ licensing agencies contracted with the Department of Child Safety to help prospective foster and adoptive parents to become licensed to care for vulnerable children.
Every day, we are helping:
- Children in need of a safe, peaceful, and loving home
- Adoptive and foster families in need of resources and advice
- Systems in need of advocacy and accountability

Race Day Information

Race Day Check In will be available beginning at 7:30am at Kiwanis Park.

We accept cash, check, and credit card on race day. Race day prices are $50 for the 5K and $40 for the 1 Mile OUR EVENT IS SOLD OUT AND WE WILL NOT BE TAKING REGISTRATOINS ON RACE DAY.

All shirts sizes may not be available on race day (please register online before race day to guarantee your shirt size choice).

Wheelchair, stroller, and leashed pet friendly event.

The course will take you through dedicated running trails (mixed surfaces of asphalt and concrete) at Kiwanis Park. Please note - this is an open trail system and does not close for our event. There will be bicycles, othere runners, and possibly even horses along the course. Please be good stewards of the course and share!!
